After our initial phone consultation, you will receive an invitation email from my secure EHR portal Sessions Health. The portal will allow for secure communication, receive and share documents, and view your upcoming appointments, among other things. You will be asked to accept the invitation.
You will be prompted to create a client portal account and provide necessary information about yourself and your preferences.
You will be presented with Consent Forms, which will need to be reviewed and electronically signed before we can begin our work together.
Prior to our meeting, you will receive a reminder with a link to join a Doxy.me video call. Doxy.me is a Telehealth platform used for secure and HIPAA-compliant video calls. You do not need to download any software or apps. It works directly in a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
At our appointment time, you will click on the link provided in the email to gain access to the virtual waiting room. You will be asked to check in by typing in your name. And, voila, you and I will be ready to begin the session.

At this time, I do not offer in-person sessions, but I am exploring the possibility of incorporating them in the future.
Online therapy offers a convenient way to access mental health support from the comfort of your own space. Conducting virtual sessions also allows me to extend my support to individuals in multiple states.
Some clients find that they are more comfortable sharing highly personal matters during online sessions compared to face-to-face interactions.
Like anything in life, online therapy has its strengths and limitations. It is not for everyone. If you have a poor internet connection, a lack of privacy, or otherwise would simply be more comfortable meeting in person, online therapy may not be for you. In some clinical situations, such as crises or severe distress, or when dealing with severe mental health conditions that require close monitoring and assessment, in-person treatment may be the most appropriate treatment choice.
If you have concerns about online therapy, please don’t hesitate to call me. I would be more than happy to have a conversation with you and address any questions or concerns you may have. If it turns out that I am not the right therapist for you, I will make every effort to assist you in finding another therapist who can better meet your specific needs.

The first session serves multiple crucial purposes including:
Establishing a therapeutic relationship. This is my priority from the very first session. It is essential that you feel safe and comfortable to share openly.
Information Gathering. I will ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what brings you to therapy. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts, feelings, and any specific issues you’d like to address. I may also explore other aspects of your life including discussions about your lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being, as they can all have an impact on your mental health.
Goal Setting. Together, we will work on setting clear and achievable goals for therapy.
Reviewing policies and procedures. We will delve deeper into the information we briefly discussed during the consultation call.

The duration of therapy is as unique as you are. It’s not intended to be never-ending; it’s about equipping you with the strength and skills to navigate life’s twists and turns independently. My goal is to empower you, making therapy a transformative experience toward a happier, more fulfilling life.

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that will be provided to every private pay client at the beginning of treatment, along with other documents for review and signature. It outlines the expected costs associated with your therapy sessions.
